Last Saturday, sixty students from El Dorado School District attended the Arkansas Council of Teachers of Mathematics regional competition held at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia.
Students competed in various subjects ranging in all areas of mathematics. Of the sixty students, fifty-three were from El Dorado High School and seven from Barton Jr. High. Four students from EHS placed in the top three of their respective division: Camila Schrader, 1st Calculus; Kyle Jorden, 2nd Calculus; Scott Ratchford, 1st Algebra II; Kasey Dumas, 3rd Algebra I.
These students automatically qualify to compete at the ACTM State Competition in April at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
